Really, Matt Damon has never been one to mince words, and when it comes to addressing his longtime frenemy Jimmy Kimmel’s Oscar-hosting skills, he’s not holding back. Let us just say that the actor’s assessment of the latter’s hosting of the esteemed awards show was less than flattering. 

Entertainment Tonight reports that when the Manchester by the Sea producer was questioned about Kimmel’s Oscar hosting, he smirked and joked without missing a beat:

“He’s always terrible.”

In a recent interview with CNN before the Oscars, Kimmel mocked Damon once again, saying:

“He is not nominated for an Oscar. He was in Oppenheimer. Everyone else was nominated except for him.” 

Well, it is no secret that Kimmel’s hosting roles at the Oscars have drawn mixed reviews. While some viewers find his delivery and forced jokes annoying, others enjoy his comedic timing and ability to keep the show moving. And it appears that the Oppenheimer star falls into the latter category.

For the unversed, known for his celebrity jokes, Kimmel has hosted the Oscars three times previously in the years 2017, 2018, and 2023.
