Henry Cavill may be one of the most endearing muscle-men in all of Hollywood’s entertainment industry, but there are still a lot of sides to him that are yet to be explored. For instance, although he may not seem like it from the handsome jock-like persona people tend to assume of him from the outside, he is actually a major geeky nerd when it comes to video games and stuff.
But while his being a nerd is all fair and good, what is actually provoking are the vile accusations some critics (or haters, might we say) have been lauding him with, deeming him a ‘sexist.’ Of course, these accusations couldn’t be farther from the truth, and the proof for this is all the times Cavill showed the utmost respect to his female co-stars while no one was watching.
Henry Cavill is NOT a Sexist, and Here’s the Proof
With great fame comes great criticism as well, and none could know it better than Henry Cavill. While he has indeed garnered massive acclaim for all the star-studded roles he has portrayed to date with the ultimate depth required, he has also received tremendous backlash along with critics deeming him ‘sexist’ due to his perspectives and personal choices.
For instance, back when he was dating the 19-year-old Tara King at the age of 32, he faced massive criticism because of the age difference between the two. If that wasn’t enough, he was met with further backlash from critics for thinking in his “traditional” and “old-fashioned” way that “a woman should be wooed and chased” during an interview with GQ Australia.
But while critics are busy deeming him a sexist, what they fail to notice and realize are all the times the actor proved to be a true gentleman to women when no one was watching. This especially came to light after @henrycavill_latinas (via a repost from @alwayshcavill) on Instagram shared a clip that was a compilation of some of the many times Cavill displayed chivalry at its peak.

As can be seen in the clip, be it pulling out a chair for his female co-star to sit, assisting his female co-stars in climbing down the stairs, or simply putting women first, The Witcher actor has proven that he can be the ultimate gentleman. If anything, he perfectly commits to chivalry even when no one’s watching, which is one of the greatest signs of a guy being a true gentleman.
That said, this obviously leaves no space to even consider him in any other light, let alone that of a sexist individual, and fans are agreeing down to the core to the same.
Fans are Calling Henry Cavill “The Epitome of Chivalry”
While they were already convinced that he could be defined by anything but the sexist label that critics were designating on him just because of his perspective and personal life choices, this video further has fans rooting for Cavill down to the core. In fact, it seems like they don’t need any additional confirmation to call the beautiful actor “the epitome of chivalry.”
