Jonathan Majors Fired From Major Projects

According to a report from Deadline, Jonathan Majors will no longer be a part of several big projects. The list includes the film adaptation of Walter Mosley’s novel The Man in My Basement by Protagonist Pictures. Besides, Majors has also lost an advertising campaign for the Texas Rangers baseball team and an unannounced biopic on Fifth Season’s Otis Redding.

Jonathan Majors‘ management company, Entertainment 360, and public relations firm, The Lede Company, have also cut ties with the actor. Majors has domestic violence allegations against him in New York City related to a dispute with a 30-year-old woman on March 25. The woman was reportedly hospitalized with minor injuries to her head and neck. The actor is set to appear in court on May 8 after being charged by the New York City District Attorney.

Under his production company, Tall Street Productions, Jonathan Majors had both an executive producer and lead acting role lined up for The Man in My Basement. However, reports suggest that a replacement is currently being sought for Majors. The movie also features Willem Dafoe in a supporting role.

Is This The Downfall Of Jonathan Majors

Before his arrest in New York City, Majors was enjoying a remarkable year. His involvement in Creed III and Ant-Man 3 contributed to a combined global box office gross of $745 million. Furthermore, his performance as a disturbed bodybuilder in Magazine Dreams received critical acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival, leading to Disney’s Searchlight acquiring distribution rights for a December 8 theatrical release in anticipation of the Oscars. 

Amid this controversy, text messages allegedly from the woman involved in the altercation with Majors, released by his defense attorney Priya Chaudhry, suggested that she had taken responsibility for the incident. However, the woman hasn’t made any statements about the matter.
