It has been a year since Hogwarts Legacy was first published, and the love for the game does not seem to be subsiding any time soon. On the anniversary of the launch, the developers took to social media to celebrate, and fans were overjoyed with what they saw.
No doubt many will remember the blooper reel from the much-loved Pixar franchise Toy Story, and there have been other notable movies to have this feature. However, it is the first anniversary of the Avalanche Software title, which has provided fans with a comedic look at outtakes for the game that have provided huge amusement.
A Hilarious Look at Hogwarts Legacy
As can be seen on the official game page on social media site X, the developers have treated fans to a look at some comical in-game issues when developing the game. To see Hogwarts Legacy laid bare like this is a stroke of genius by the developers and will no doubt endear fans to the game even further.
The video shows various characters enduring issues with movement, some appearing below the ground or disappearing completely. Characters’ facial features are another aspect that falls victim, with oversized eyes and other facial aspects appearing completely out of place. Some appear to experience difficulties when standing on the side profile.
It’s not uncommon to see bugs like these happen on a new release, and developers will provide patches to address them. However, it is great to see that Avalanche has made light of these issues by highlighting them in the blooper reel.

The reaction from fans was as expected, and they loved the sharing of the hilarious material, with many fans hoping that other developers would take this on board.

The comment below is perhaps something we don’t imagine we could see happening, but it would no doubt be a funny take on the game nonetheless.
I would love a "blooper mode" in Hogwarts Legacy just to make the game silly and fun again after 5 playthroughs

However, it could be possible to see other developers take this feature on board and have it as a celebration of a title. No doubt some fans can highlight the titles in which they have come across similar issues in-game, so perhaps other developers could use this as a comedic feature much like Avalanche has.
Hogwarts Legacy surpassed many other titles to be crowned the best-selling game of 2023, and with the number of players still enjoying this title, the developers will be happy with the finished product. That being said, there is always a call for a sequel, and fans are already commenting about what they would like to see in a follow-up title.
It’s clear that the bloopers reel from Avalanche Software has been well-received by fans, and judging by the comments, there are calls for more developers to do this. The lighthearted look at the issues that developers had when working on the game is a great insight into the workings, and we can only hope that others in the industry follow suit on this.
