Undoubtedly, The Twilight Saga played a key role in kickstarting the careers of its actors. The franchise grossed over $3.4 billion worldwide, becoming one the biggest franchises in the world at one point. Anna Kendrick played the role of Jessica Stanley, however, the actress once forgot that she was a part of the franchise.
Kendrick went on to have a distinctive career as an actor as well as a singer. Maybe the actress decided to disassociate herself from the franchise just like Robert Pattinson, who often has terrible words for the franchise, explaining that he regrets being a part of it.
Anna Kendrick forgot that she was in the Twilight franchise
Just a few days after Twilight‘s (2008) 10-year anniversary in 2018, actress Anna Kendrick made a tweet telling her fans that she forgot she was a part of the Twilight franchise. She wrote,
“Holy s**t. I just remembered I was in Twilight”
The actress played the role of Jessica Stanley in four of the franchise’s films, Twilight (2008), The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011). Around that time, Kendrick also appeared in Up in the Air (2009), which earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Is Anna Kendrick trying to forget the franchise?
The Twilight Saga was a massive hit at the global box office, however, it received mixed reviews from viewers and critics around the world. The stars of the movie often look back and regret it, especially Robert Pattinson as he has trashed the franchise on multiple occasions. At this point, he says “It’s not even cool to be a hater anymore” of the film and that’s a thing of the past.
Maybe the terrible reviews forced Kendrick to forget her time in the franchise as well. After Twilight, she went on to have a remarkable career as an actress and a singer. With blockbuster hits like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), 50/50 (2011), End of Watch (2012), Into the Woods (2014), The Accountant (2016), A Simple Favor (2018), Noelle (2019.) Kendrick proved that she can seamlessly transition between different genres, proving her versatility as an actress.
