Jujutsu Kaisen manga is currently at its most crucial moment as Itadori Yuji finally fights against Sukuna in the series. However, the series reaching this moment has taken a lot of sacrifices and deaths that have somewhat disappointed fans but still brought an interesting approach to the series.
However, the only problem with the series that fans have been talking about since the beginning is the protagonist of the series, Yuji not getting a shining moment in any battle or fight against the villains of the series. Yuji has always been seen either taking someone’s help or watching from the sidelines till now.
The latest chapter may have given Yuji a defining moment for him as a protagonist but for that, too Gege Akutami, the creator of the series took away another important character’s life and ended his story. The character in the discussion is Hiromi Higuruma, who gave his life so that Yuji could do what he was supposed to do from the beginning.
Itadori Yuji’s Growth After So Many Deaths in Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen and Akutami in particular have received a lot of hate from the fans of the series as almost every episode of Jujutsu Kaisen features a death. Be it Geto Suguru, Gojo Satoru, Nanami Kento, or Nobara Kugisaki, Akutami believes in killing the important characters for the storyline to move forward.
In any traditional anime series, the death of an important character usually results in the protagonist powering up and increasing his strength to defeat the enemy. However, this does not seem to be the case with Jujutsu Kaisen, as even after so many deaths Itadori Yuji has not yet shown any significant growth.
Itadori Yuji may have been seen adapting to the situation and fighting extensively, but all these moments have not been a crucial standpoint for the character. He has shown growth, but not according to the pace at which a protagonist should grow. As a result of this, Yuji has not had any shining moments. But this seems to change now.
Itadori Yuji May Finally Get a Shining Moment
As Jujutsu Kaisen eliminates one of the story’s most intriguing characters to give Yuji and his new power-up a chance to shine, the exciting battle against Sukuna has reached a turning point. Hiromi Higuruma, the attorney who was battling Sukuna alongside Yuji, was the character who was recently killed off.
This time, though, Yuji may grow as a result of the character’s death because Higuruma gives Yuji his most formidable weapon. Higuruma throws the Executioner’s Sword to Yuji, who stabs Sukuna in the back to carry out his duty and defeat him. Higuruma then collapses after receiving a direct blow from Sukuna.
The Executioner’s Sword is probably the most powerful weapon the sorcerer has right now and if Yuji can properly stab Sukuna with this sword, it would result in the death of the King of the Curses. Also, it would be the biggest shining moment yet that would define Yuji as the main character of Jujutsu Kaisen.
