Wolverine is one of the most iconic and beloved characters from Marvel comics. Not only is he a fantastic character on his own, but also a crucial part of the X-Men. The most iconic portrayal of the character has to be that of Hugh Jackman’s. He played the character for over two decades, starting in the 2000 film, X-Men, and going on to future in films, like The Wolverine, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Being a part of this franchise for so long, it is only natural that fans were extremely sad when he made his exit in the 2017 film, Logan.

Why Would A Wolverine Solo Film Be Beneficial For The MCU?

The X-Men franchise that ruled the 2010s, when it comes to the superhero genre had one character at the center of it, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. On top of this, three films focused on his character specifically, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Wolverine, and Logan. Despite this, the franchise only managed to scratch the surface when it comes to the back story of this character.

A potential solo film for him could help solve this problem. There is a lot that has still not been portrayed when it comes to his past, including his time getting experimented on in the Weapon X program, as well as the role he played in the stories of characters like Captain America, Deadpool, and Hulk. If Marvel were to continue his story, audiences could see these elements come to life.
