Hugh Jackman’s “bulking” routine for Deadpool 3 will leave fans stunned

There’s a lot of physical effort that goes into preparing for an action-oriented performance and no one understands that better than Hugh Jackman. The X-Men star has gone all out to beef up the part of Wolverine in Deadpool 3 by following a special diet that includes 8000 calories a day. With a picture on Instagram, Hugh Jackman shared details of his high-calorie diet with his fans. He also thanked his personal chef Mario saying,

The action star’s diet includes six meals a day consisting of black bass (2,000 calories), Patagonia salmon (2,100 calories), two chicken burgers (around 1,000 calories each), and two grass-fed sirloins (1,100 calories each). This is 2000 calories more than Creed 3 star Jonathan Majors who went on a 6000 calorie-a-day diet to play a bodybuilder in his Sundance film Magazine Dreams. While talking about eating tons of chicken, Hugh Jackman was also profuse in apologizing to PETA and vegetarians saying,

“And I tell you, I’ve eaten more chickens — I’m so sorry to all the vegans and vegetarians and to the chickens of the world. Literally, the karma is not good for me. If the deity has anything related to chickens, I’m in trouble.”

Hugh Jackman clears the air on the “steroid” debate

Despite Hugh Jackman publically sharing his body-building journey on social media, there have been speculations about the actor enhancing his weight through the use of steroids. The Music Man star put all doubts to rest during a January interview on HBO’s “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace”, clearly stating that he has never used steroids to put on a pound of muscle even when the preparation for playing Wolverine took a toll on his body. The star added,

“I love my job. And I love Wolverine, I got to be careful what I say here, but I had been told anecdotally what the side effects are of that. And I was like, ‘I don’t love it that much.’ So no, I just did it the old-school way.”
