However, Gibson, the Morbius star fell for a fake quote from none other than the legendary director, Martin Scorsese.

On the occasion of April Fools Day, a fake quote started circulating around the internet praising the Marvel movie calling it the “height of cinema.” A user by the name Honky Pete (@LynchUnhinged) shared the quote on X with the caption, “Martin Scorsese commented after watching #Morbius.”

The quote said,

“I was aghast to find out it was based on a comic book. This is the truest height of cinema and even I cannot top it. A wise man admits when he is wrong and I was wrong, I apologize to all comic book movies.”

A lot of people on the internet had a hearty laugh upon reading the quote because of how terrible ended up and it became one of the worst superhero films to be ever made in the modern era. The film had a score of 15% on the Tomatometer.

However, the quote became ten folds funnier, when the Fast Five actor believed it to be true and went on his social media platform to share a post.

Fans Troll The Star For Sharing The Fake Quote

If fans believe the quote was funny, taking a hilarious jab at the 2022 film, using Scorsese, but what unfolded following the quote circulating the internet was how Tyrese Gibson believed the quote to be true. In a now-deleted post, the actor shared the quote on his Instagram with a picture of Scorsese from the film’s screening and a caption.
