Pedro Pascal Teases Fans with Mystery Doppelgänger in Hollywood

There is no doubt that Pedro Pascal and Indian actor Jimmy Sheirgill look alike. But the Hollywood star himself revealed his opinion about who he was mistaken for with another actor.

In a segment with Vanity Fair—where he answers questions related to Hollywood—when he was asked, “Have you ever mistaken for another actor?” To this, the Mandalorian star replied, “Meryl Streep [laughing].” Pascal continued:

“I was like no, I am not Meryl. She could be me but could never be her.”

It’s unlikely that he and Streep look each other’s doppelgänger. But, his response seems to be in jest, as the actor humorously says that Meryl Streep could potentially be him, but he could never be her. The two were seen together at the AFI Awards Luncheon last month.

Besides this, Pascal is very busy these days. With five projects on his plate, it’s a wonder he even has time to breathe. Let’s take a peek at his jam-packed lineup.

Pedro Pascal’s Upcoming Projects: What’s Next?

Pedro Pascal is going to be one busy guy with five upcoming gigs. First up, he’s playing Santos—the not-so-bright criminal dealer, in Drive-Away Dolls. The movie centers on Marian and Jamie, two young lesbian women who drive a car from Philadelphia to Florida for a free trip to Tallahassee.

Coming up next in his busy schedule is The Uninvited. It follows the story of Anna Ivers, fresh out of a psych ward after a suicide attempt triggered by her mom’s house fire death. Although she has no memory of the fire, recurring nightmares from the night haunt her. Pascal’s role in the film has not been disclosed as of yet.

The third venture is none other than The Gladiator 2. It fast-forwards two decades after the first flick, focusing on Lucius as he steps into Maximus’ shoes and carries on his legacy. Pascal’s role is not yet revealed in this film, as well.

Next up in his packed schedule is Tropico. It’s based on the story of Raymond (Willem Dafoe) who is hired to spy on Mark (Pascal), an American businessman, in a coastal town in Northern Brazil. But things get complicated when he falls for Mark’s wife, Lucia (Baccarin), and her identical twin sister, Lea, at the same time.

Last but certainly not least in his lineup is the highly anticipated The Fantastic Four. The reboot will skip their origin story and present them as already established in the multiverse. It will of course, also pave the way for future crossover events. The Emmy nominee has been confirmed to star as the leader Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic in the film.
