In 2015, actors Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck called it quits after a decade of marriage. A few months later, Garner was back on set filming Wakefield with Bryan Cranston which was based on E. L. Doctorow’s story about a man who fakes his own death to observe his spouse secretly from their attic. The 13 Going on 30 star who played Cranston’s wife in the film, admitted that she faced a few difficult moments during the filming of a love scene with the Breaking Bad actor. Having been single for a few months since her divorce from Ben Affleck, Garner revealed that she was completely out of touch with intimacy.
“When you haven’t been kissed for over eight months it’s strange. But it’s my job. It’s nine in the morning and you think, I could really use a shot of alcohol. Then, after a take or two, after everyone has seen your b**bs and love handles, you just want to take every crew member and be like, ‘Please have mercy on me!’ ”
During this period of personal trauma, Jennifer Garner also signed on to another challenging role in Miracles of Heaven in which she gave one of her most emotionally charged and powerful performances to date.
Jennifer Garner Has An Emotional Bond With Victor Garber
Alias not only gave Jennifer Garner the platform to shine and be recognized, but it also offered her the opportunity to forge a lifelong friendship with her co-star Victor Garber. The actor who played Garner’s father Jack Bristow in the series has been a constant supporting factor in her life while also fulfilling his duties as godfather to Affleck and Garner’s children. Garber also officiated the two stars’ wedding in 2005. Speaking of his deep connection to Garner, Garber said,
