Coming out from the shell of disastrous anime live adaptations, the One Piece Live Action series delivered one of the biggest hits in 2023. Everyone loved it and praised it for maintaining the essence of the anime yet creating an identity for themselves.

Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, saw every audition tape to finalize the cast. Every member of the Strawhat seemed to have formed a bond outside their reel life, too. It will help them with their chemistry in future ventures. Recently, Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy) and Emily Rudd (Nami) were featured in an online video. For some reason, one of Emily Rudd’s tasks terrified Iñaki Godoy.

The cast of One Piece has been doing several promotions and interviews for the One Piece Live Action series on Netflix. Recently, one of those online promotional videos, held by Netflix, featured Iñaki Godoy and Emily. They were given a cat-faced cookie jar. The cookie jar had several bits of paper with different tasks written. The duo needed to complete the task that they chose.

The first one was picked by Emily Rudd. It was this very task that scared Iñaki Godoy. The paper read that Emily Rudd shares her birthday with Steve Jobs. The new Apple VR Headset is just a few months from release. But if she takes a selfie of her eyes from close range and displays it over her eyes, it would look like she is wearing an Apple Vision Pro. Rudd did what she was told.

Seeing her, Iñaki Godoy said, “Oh God, I do not like where this is going. I am scared.” Putting the picture over her eyes made her look weird. It was this bizarre image that scared Iñaki Godoy. When Emily Rudd asked how is it, Iñaki Godoy replied, “Emily, I will always love you. You will always be my Nakama, but I gotta say, you do look terrifying right now.” This was said in a scared voice. Emily Rudd was bizarre to look at during this task. No wonder Iñaki Godoy will be scared for life.

More On One Piece Live Action Cast

The video showed Emily Rudd and Iñaki Godoy completing several other tasks. They were both having fun, and it goes to show that they have a great chemistry going. Iñaki Godoy also had a weird task of trying to touch his nose with his lips since he shares a birthday with Gene Simmons (he had a long tongue). Overall, it was fun to see our beloved Strawhats having a good time after the hectic battle with the Arlong pirates.

Iñaki Godoy can have all the fun he wants, but it won’t be enough to erase his memory of seeing Emily Rudd with those weird eye selfies. It will be a memory that will always terrorize him. The future king of pirates is sure to look down while talking to Nami. He will use all his might to avoid eye contact with her.
