After playing the role of Nathan Drake in Uncharted, Tom Holland is all set to play the role of Romeo in Romeo & Juliet by Jamie Lloyd. The play is believed to be a new version of the vintage love story of Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. However, it seems like Tom Holland’s play is making the audience feel like poor-class people.

Recently, Tom Holland had put up a story on his Instagram account with an attached link to the play’s tickets. Around 50,000 interested people rushed out to the site to book their tickets. Such a crowd resulted in the website going down for almost 30 minutes (via Daily Mail). The craze of Holland is unreal for sure. Further, such a demand led to a drastic rise in the ticket price.

One of the fans mentioned in clear words that after waiting for around 3 hours, they found out the ticket price to be more than £125. They went on to say that is not something they can afford. The virtual line for the tickets was also quite long which led fans to compare it to getting tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

No doubt such a price will make any fan fall on his/her knees. This whopping cost has led to the despair of many fans, with a few almost dropping the idea of watching the play.

However, no word has come out yet regarding the female lead opposite Tom Holland for the play. Hope is high that Holland will be accompanied by his co-star soon. Lloyd has very high hopes from Holland regarding the love story’s revival in a different way.

In a statement (via Variety), Jamie Lloyd praised Holland saying:

“Tom Holland is one of the greatest, most exciting young actors in the world. It is an honor to welcome him back to the West End.”

The most interesting thing about the play is how Lloyd is going to direct it because he has never been one to stick to the classic ways. He is definitely going to add some fresh flavors to this romantic wine.
