Consequently, during the filming of the harrowing bullying scene in the second episode of the fourth season, the distressing nature of the scene moved Noah Schnapp to tears, and only the Eleven actress noticed.

The fun-filled outing at the skating rink with Will, Mike, and Eleven takes a sudden turn, marred by El’s bullies. The scene’s intensity and distressing nature were incredibly challenging to witness in all its states resulting in Schnapp breaking down in character. “I remember about 50 people laughing at me and pointing at me,-I remember feeling super distressed and really sad.-I don’t know if anyone knows that. [Speaking directly to Noah Schnapp] But you actually got really upset. Do you remember that? You weren’t meant to cry in the scene — you just got naturally really emotional because it was actually quite distressing to watch.”
