With a unique mix of horror and dramatic elements, inspired by the 1980s popular culture, Stranger Things is on its way to becoming no less than a cult classic itself. Starring some of the most amazing actors and actresses of all time, the Netflix series is currently filming its last season after being delayed massively because of the twin Hollywood strikes.

Fans are understandably upset since the show has been a part of popular culture for quite a while now and has built up a dedicated and loyal fan base. However, that loyal fan base might be in trouble now.

Millie Bobby Brown recently revealed that the final and fifth season of Stranger Things has about 9 months of filming left (via X). This is a bit more than the pre-pandemic norm when it took around 6 to 7 months to shoot with the rest of the time spent in editing, VFX, and more (via GamesRadar).

Since the actors are growing fast and their characters are still in their early teens, it would be hard to stop the aging process and have them resemble their characters. Although producer Shawn Levy stated the crew has a perfect plan to overcome this (via Variety), fans are still troubled by the long delay.

With the final season still filming, the show might not be released until early 2025, at least. Only time will tell whether the show is able to retain its dedicated fan base during this massive delay or if it will turn out to be a missed shot.
