During an interview with Yahoo Movies, Ridley reflected on her experience of joining the popular franchise, with Jones coming in right after her. The Rey actress explained that she enjoyed the experience of going on press tours and promotional events ahead of her Star Wars debut.

I feel like ‘jealous’ is the wrong word, but I had such a good time in the run-up to the film, and it was all so exciting. Knowing that she’s experiencing that is so great.

Ridley made the above statement (via Contact Music) regarding the experience Jones would have with the fandom ahead of her Star Wars debut.

Ridley added that because of her own fun experience promoting her debut Star Wars movie, she felt excited on behalf of Jones. Ultimately, Jones’ performance in Rogue One received positive reviews from critics and fans while the film emerged as a major commercial success, grossing $1.058 billion at the box office.

During the same interview, Daisy Ridley also revealed whether she had spoken with Felicity Jones ahead of her Star Wars debut. However, the actress admitted that she did not feel the need to give any pointers to the Black Cat actress.

I didn’t give her tips. She’s like a proper human being. She’s got everything nailed.

Ridley proudly made the above statement, expressing complete faith in Jones’ ability to lead a Star Wars movie.

In a separate interview with MTV, Jones confirmed that she met up with Ridley and the two engaged in a spirited conversation about the galaxy far, far away. The actress revealed that while Ridley visited the sets of Rogue One, the two actresses later hung out.

Jones made the above statement about meeting Ridley. The actress added that since she wanted to keep her film’s story a mystery, it was fun to speak with someone like Ridley who understood the experience of leading a Star Wars movie.
