Emily Blunt Forgot To Prepare Her Speech For Golden Globes

In accepting her Golden Globe award in 2007 for her performance in the British miniseries Gideon’s Daughter, actress Emily Blunt stated (via YouTube):

Thank you very much for this. This was a film very close to my heart, and it was a film for anyone who’s ever had a child and anyone who’s ever had a parent so it was just incredibly moving.”

She later mentioned and thanked her co-stars Bill Nighy and Miranda Richardson, as well as the director, Stephen Poliakoff. After she finished her speech, Blunt left the stage. The actress admitted she did not prepare for that moment, perhaps not expecting she would bag the award.
