"I love him, he changed my life": Tom Holland Ignores Warning From Critics, Says He Is Not Afraid to Play Spider-Man For the Rest of His Acting Career

Tom Holland has been actively portraying the role of Spider-Man whenever the MCU needs him to portray it. With three movies to his name and several other crossovers, Holland has gained quite the popularity ever since he first appeared in the 2016 movie Captain America: Civil War.

With Spider-Man: No Way Home potentially ending the actor’s timeline in the MCU, Holland talked about a potential Spider-Man 4 and whether he would star in it or not. Tom Holland Ignores Critics And Reviews For Spider-Man

After some time, Tom Holland found himself comfortable amid the MCU and became a pivotal member of the Avengers. With his last portrayal in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the actor recently discussed the possibility of an appearance in Spider-Man 4.

“I’m not really concerned about being pigeonholed. I really look at my career from my own set of eyes and I worry less about what people think about whether or not they see me as Spider-Man or whether or not they see me as Danny (The Crowded Room).”

When the talk of his reprisal as Spider-Man came, Tom Holland said that he was simply lucky to be able to portray the character and how Spider-Man essentially changed his life.

“I feel like my agents and I have navigated the industry in a really good way over the last 10 years. But that said, if I just play Spider-Man for the rest of my life, I’d still be the luckiest kid alive. So, there’s no complaints from me here. As everyone knows, I love him. He changed my life. I love the character. Should we find a way to tell his story and do justice to him, we will do so.”

It could potentially hint at his further involvement in the future of the MCU. The actor further remarked that he does not try to look at the reviews while portraying characters that he loves.

As stated earlier, Holland had to get adjusted to getting negative reviews for his characters and/or movies. In the interview, the actor proudly stated that he is slowly but surely getting there. The Pilgrimage actor stated that it’s not easy but he is trying not to hear what other people say about him.

“Whether I’m proud of a film or not is really how I kind of weigh up my emotions about something. I try not to look at reviews. I try not to hear what people say around the world. So, it’s not something that I actively do,”

The actor is currently busy shooting his TV mini-series titled The Crowded Room. Portraying the character of Danny Sullivan, The Crowded Room is set for a release date of 9th June 2023.
