The televised roast is one of the most unique and controversial forms of comedy the American entertainment industry has helped popularize. For decades now, public figures from all walks of life have willingly sat in front of an audience of their peers and the general public and allowed seasoned comics to mercilessly mock various aspects of their lives and careers.
The latest public figure to join this tradition is football legend Tom Brady. The star NFL athlete was the subject of a roast by a set of comics led by Kevin Hart and Jeff Ross. Unfortunately, aspects of the roast are said to have disappointed Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. The popular supermodel is said to feel that the way the roast played out once again proved that Brady cares more about his career than their time together.
A Star Romance Between Tom Brady And Gisele Bündchen
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen were first publicly seen together in 2006, at the height of both their careers. After a whirlwind romance, the duo were soon engaged and eventually tied the knot in 2009. Unfortunately, the marriage ended in 2022 after thirteen years when the couple filed for divorce. It has been hinted that Bündchen was unhappy with Brady’s habit of putting his career before their marriage.
It was inevitable that this aspect of Tom Brady’s life would come up during the roast, along with the more controversial aspects of his football career. Brady was the guest of honor for Netflix’s live special, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, hosted in Inglewood, California. Aside from Kevin Hart and Jeff Ross, other members of the roast party included Julian Edelman, Kim Kardashian, Rob Gronkowski, Nikki Glaser, Drew Bledsoe, and Randy Moss.
A Roast Of Tom Brady’s Life And Career
At one point, Jeff Ross made a joke about the massage parlor scandal involving New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. This prompted Brady to object to the joke and he warned Ross not to make any more slights about Kraft. On the other hand, Brady’s failed marriage to Gisele Bündchen was made the butt of several jokes without appearing to trigger Brady. The star quarterback even got in on the action when it was his turn to take the podium with a single-line joke:
Tom Brady: “There have been a lot of jokes tonight but I miss the love of my life…football.”

According to Page Six, the fact that Brady would defend Kraft but not their marriage has rubbed Bündchen the wrong way. She is also said to have taken it as further proof that his career was always a bigger priority for Tom Brady than their marriage.
Gisele Bündchen Is Not Happy With The Roast
People magazine also claims that a source told them Bündchen is “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family” and is currently focused on supporting their children in the face of the very public jokes made about their family during the roast.
While Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are now separated, they continue to stay connected through their children Benjamin and Vivian, aged 13 and 10 respectively. Brady also has another son named John “Jack” Edward with his ex Bridget Moynahan.
The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady is now available for streaming on Netflix.
