With The Witcher season 3 on air right now on Netflix, the two talented women sat down for a series of interviews to talk about their experience and how their characters had developed over the seasons. Amid the many discussions, Anya Chalotra narrated a particular incident that made her and her co-star break down and cry on the set.

Freezing Temperatures Made Anya Chalotra Cry On The Witcher Set

Season 3 of The Witcher is currently airing on Netflix and the show’s primary women Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan are touted to have important roles in the development of the narrative. Following the streaming of the first episode, Chalotra and Allan went down memory lane and spoke about the significant moments of filming Season 3. As is evident, The Witcher is famous for creating sequences in beautiful locations but one particular schedule in Slovenia caused a lot of grief for the two female protagonists. Recalling the freezing temperatures and the biting cold, Chalotra said,

“It was cold. We were in Slovenia shooting. It was very cold, and on the second day of shooting I remember bawling my eyes out because I couldn’t feel my feet, so that was when my journey began this season.”

Freya Allan concurred with her co-star’s opinion and said that Chalotra’s emotional tearing up set off a domino effect with her responding the same way due to the extreme climatic conditions.

Anya Chalotra Was Sad To See Henry Cavill Leave The Witcher

Fans of The Witcher were in for a shock with the news of Henry Cavill’s departure from the show after Season 3. His famous character Geralt of Rivia will be played by Liam Hemsworth from Season 4. Cavill’s cast mates also expressed their surprise and regret at the Man of Steel actor leaving the series. Anya Chalotra who played Yennefer, Geralt’s soulmate in the show, was one of the actors who vocalized her sadness.

“That news was hard to take because he’s family. We’ve been together for five years. So for anyone to leave after working with someone for that long, we’re going to feel that loss,”

Chalotra also spoke about the camaraderie that Cavill shared with the whole cast and his commitment and dedication to bringing out the best in his character. While she confessed that the Justice League star will be missed, the celebrity also added that she was looking forward to what his successor Liam Hemsworth will bring to the table.
