Skarsgård appeared in an interview with Stephen Colbert on the comedian’s late-night show. With a plethora of iconic characters to his name, Alexander Skarsgård has earned plenty of awards and accolades for the same.

Well, the actor faced a dilemma when he realized that he had no place to stash all of his awards! In an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the actor confessed that he gave the Emmys to his friend for safekeeping, then later shoved them in his closet, and then felt bad about the whole act!

“I didn’t know what to do with the trophies. Like, how do I, as a Swede – I’m obviously very proud of them but I’m a swede so I can’t like, just put them up on the mantlepiece or display them. So, I kept them at a friend’s place.”

He further continued that after a while he brought the awards back in a hidden suitcase and shoved them all in his closet.

“And then I put them in a closet for a couple of months. Then I thought ‘This is ridiculous’. Then, it kept me up at night and then I realized ‘Oh, this is what I’m struggling with as a Hollywood actor. I don’t know where to put my accolades’. I started to loathe myself because these are the issues in my life at the moment”

Well, Alexander Skarsgård hasn’t gotten all these awards by just acting since the actor gives plenty of himself for his movies. Recalling the 2016 film The Legend of Tarzan, Skarsgård revealed that he lost his will to live due to his intense diet!

Alexander Skarsgård has always been known for his muscular physique in his movies. Portraying the role of Tarzan in the 2016 movie The Legend of Tarzan or Amleth in the 2022 film The Northman, the actor always has a strict diet and an intense regime to follow. Speaking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbertthe actor recalled that he had lost his will to live back in 2016!

“It was on a Sunday – we shot the movie in London and we were at the gym lifting weights and I guess he just saw that my will to live was fading. It had been five months of broccoli, chicken breasts and that kind of stuff… I got to eat pizza, pasta, tiramisu. I get emotional just talking about it!”

His co-star Margot Robbie also recalled that Skarsgård kissed an apple that was given to him after months of dieting on the sets of the 2016 movie. The Legend of Tarzan received an average rating of 6.2/10 on IMDB and a low of 35% on Rotten Tomatoes but the world found a worthy actor in Hollywood!
