It’s indeed hard to believe that the era of the iconic character Luke Skywalker has come to an end. Previously, Mark Hamill shared during an interview that he wasn’t looking forward to playing his iconic character anymore.

When the actor was asked about his appearance in the upcoming Star Wars projects, he blatantly said that he had no hopes for that. The actor last appeared in 2019 in Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. While recalling his experience filming Luke, the actor got emotional. The actor said,

“Well, the whole thing was emotional, because when I read [Episode] VIII, I knew it was over. So I was relishing every moment, but also saying goodbye to all those people that I had associated with over the years. So I still miss them.”

A few months later, the actor announced his readiness to leave the franchise. After portraying the character in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, actress Rosario Dawson will also be returning to her role.
