Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight was one of the more interesting MCU shows that explored new characters. Instead of the usual comedic treatment of the recent Marvel projects, the show proved to be a psychological exploration of a character with a fractured mind. Isaac played the different personalities that existed within Marc Spector with great conviction.

Moon Knight gave MCU fans an exciting new character that had depth and complexity. A superhero suffering from dissociative identity disorder dealing with Egyptian Gods presented a compelling performance from Oscar Isaac. The show ended with the revelation of Spector’s third personality, Jake Lockley.

Isaac recently made an appearance at the Middle East Film and Comic Con event in Abu Dhabi, where he talked about Moon Knight’s future. He expressed his desire to explore more of the complex dynamic between Steven Grant, Marc Spector, and Jake Lockley within one individual. He also wants the character to join the Midnight Suns in the future. He said (via X)

“I thought there was an interesting opportunity with Midnight Suns. There’s such interesting characters in there, and now that we’ve set the groundwork with learning who Marc, Steven, Jake are, it could be an interesting opportunity to see him as part of a team and what that dynamic would be. So I think that would be exciting, I think for me, I definitely hope there’s some room to explore that possibility.”

One will know that Midnight Suns included a group of supernatural superheroes, including Blade, Ghost Rider, and Doctor Doom, among others. Isaac’s comments might not have given a proper clarification of Moon Knight’s future, but he certainly wants him to join the popular team from the comics. It remains to be seen how Marvel brings back the character.

Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo recently starred in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things. Ruffalo was incredibly nervous while playing a vile and narcissistic character, and he was not sure whether he could pull off the role. Dafoe had some fun of Ruffalo’s nervousness and decided to give him a little scare. With the help of Oscar Isaac, they staged a prank for the actor.

Dafoe told Esquire that Isaac was shooting a film nearby when he and Ruffalo were shooting Poor Things. He and Isaac decided to scare Ruffalo by making him think that Isaac was coming in to replace Ruffalo. However, the joke did not last long, and the three amigos had a good laugh about it. He said,

“Oscar Isaac was shooting at another part of the studio where we were in Budapest. And Mark one day said ‘I saw Oscar Isaac is here. Is he, he, he, he, he here to replace me?’ I said ‘Oh no, no, don’t be silly.’ And the next day, since I knew Oscar because I’d worked with him I said ‘come over.’

And he came over at lunch, and we staged this little scene like he’d come to tell Mark that it was over and he was taking over. But, that lasted for about a second, but it was a good joke, yeah? A good practical joke.”

On the work front, Isaac will star alongside Gerard Butler and Jason Momoa in In the Hand of Dante. He will also play Victor Frankenstein in Guillermo del Toro’s Dr. Frankenstein, which also stars Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz.
