Spider-Man remains one of the most iconic heroes in the history of the superhero genre, as the character stands for everything good in humanity. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t various other kinds of heroes across different mediums. After all, even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are considered to be superheroes by many.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are a major part of pop culture for good reason, as many people resonate with the anthropomorphic amphibians thanks to their whacky characters, solid stories, and memorable storylines.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Artist Has An Unexpected Marvel Hero He Wants To Collaborate With
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has a rich history of engaging in crossover adventures with iconic characters from various universes, including Batman, the Ghostbusters, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Street Fighter, and more.
In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, TMNT artist Gavin Smith shared his dream comic project, expressing a strong desire for a collaboration between the Ninja Turtles and Marvel’s Man Without Fear – Daredevil.
“I would like to do a project that I write and draw…. As far as crossovers I’d like to see… that we’d all like to see… I think that’s obvious. We all want to see the Daredevil crossover! Actually… I’ll put that out there as a dream project I’d like to draw.”
Gavin Smith, who recently wrapped up his contributions as the interior artist for IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #140-144, is recognized for his dynamic portrayal of the classic and beloved turtles – Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. Therefore his wanting to collaborate with Darevil is definitely an interesting proposition.
A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Collaboration With Daredevil Would Spice Things Up
The roots of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles‘ origin story intertwine with Darevil’s in a very similar way. This is because both involve exposure to mutagenic substances. In the Turtles‘ case, their transformation happened when a blind man narrowly avoided being hit by a truck carrying the mysterious ooze. This parallel origin story with Daredevil contributes to the initial grittiness and darker undertones of the Turtles‘ early adventures, a tone heavily influenced by Frank Miller’s legendary run with Matt Murdock.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman shares this enthusiasm, fueling hopes for a comic where the Turtles and Daredevil unite against formidable foes like Kingpin, Bullseye, Shredder, or Krang—a prospect that excites fans eager for an official team-up somewhere down the line. Whether such an intriguing crossover even happens or not is a whole different discussion now.
