The Internet was deep into the controversy surrounding the “disappearance” of the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, when the Royal Palace revealed a piece of shocking news. A video was released which showed Kate Middleton announcing that she has cancer and was going under preventive chemotherapy. It didn’t take long for social media to be flooded with fans supporting her and sending her well wishes.
As Kate Middleton deals with the unfortunate news, she is obviously not alone. While she certainly has the support and love of many people in her life, a royal commentator has revealed that her family – parents and siblings – are playing an essential role in the tough times in terms of being the Princess’ rock.
Kate Middleton’s Family Has Got Her Back
On March 22, Kate Middleton announced that her abdominal surgery led to the discovery that she has cancer. She continued that she was in the early stages of preventive chemotherapy.
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful, however, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I’m now in the early stages of that treatment.”
Now, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has revealed that Middleton’s family is proving to be an absolute rock during her battle with cancer. He told The Sun,
“We know that she’s got a very close and supported family, and secondly, that the support is under the radar. The Middletons are clearly a very, very important part of her and William’s life. At the moment absolutely pivotal. I would say.”
Fitzwilliams also added that since her family lives close by, the Middeltons will be extremely helpful in these tough times, especially when it comes to taking care of Middleton and Prince William’s children.
“We know that there is a tremendously strong bond between her mother in her parents, also siblings, and also that they live in close proximity or relatively close proximity. So yes, absolutely, I think that this is important. I think the Middletons will be her rock, and they will be also tremendously helpful, and especially regarding the children.”
