When Amy Adams Made Henry Cavill Super Uncomfortable

Henry Cavill and co-star Amy Adams’ chemistry as Superman and Lois Lane was hailed as one of the best on-screen chemistries. The duo, following their success, went to several interviews together. Much like in every interview, Henry Cavill got uncomfortable with the Enchanted actress when she showered the actor with compliments.

Henry Cavill got super uncomfortable with Amy Adams when the latter actress started talking about a kissing scene that didn’t work out. Graham Norton asked Adams about a special kissing technique that she learned from David O. Russell. Talking about what the special technique was, Amy Adams jokingly said that it didn’t work with co-star Henry Cavill.

“David O. Russell has a thing with tongue. Yeah, he likes to see it” said Amy Adams while making a weird face to show what she was talking about. “I tried that with Henry, it didn’t work. They were like ‘Ew, what’s that?'”

Henry Cavill replied, “Too much, it was too much.” Amy Adams continued, “I’m coming across as such a creep for poor Henry”. Amy Adams continued to look at Henry Cavill’s face while showering him with compliments that made the actor uncomfortable.

“He’s [Henry Cavill] is so good looking and…” she spoke indistinctively as the Enola Holmes quickly got up from his seat and moved a few inches away from his co-star.

The whole incident although cute in nature seems to be very much for Cavill to handle. The actor had been previously made uncomfortable when he was asked to remove his shirt on The Graham Norton Show.

In a recent interview, the co-head of DC Studios clarified that they never fired Henry Cavill. James Gunn stated that they simply did not hire the actor for further projects in the DCU. Although the comment seems unnecessary, James Gunn indeed feels sorry for Cavill since he has departed several franchises all at once.

“I like Henry, I think he’s a great guy. I think he’s getting [messed] around by a lot of people, including the former regime at this company. But this Superman is not Henry, for a number of reasons.”

James Gunn further stated that the movie is not about Henry Cavill but it is about Superman.

“For me, it’s about, who do I want to cast as Superman, and who do the filmmakers we have want to cast? And for me, for this story, it isn’t Henry.”

With his departure from the DCU, Cavill also left The Witcher franchise due to a creative difference between the actor and the showrunner. The actor was also considered for the role of James Bond in the franchise’s upcoming movies but not much came out of it.
