Sydney Sweeney rose to fame for her role as Cassie Howard on HBO’s Euphoria, and one of the criticisms about her part in the show is that she has a lot of n*de scenes.

The actress has previously admitted she is willing to do whatever is necessary to justify her character. Though, at one point, Sweeney seemed to have frustrations over baring her body on screen.
Sydney Sweeney Regrets Getting N*ked On Camera
During her interview with the Independent, actress and producer Sydney Sweeney revealed she had roles where she felt uncomfortable with n*ked scenes. Despite her experience with this type of sequence, she still gets the jitters when she’s not at ease with her costars.
I’ve had experiences where I want to go home and scrub myself completely raw because I feel disgusting. I didn’t feel comfortable with my cast mate or the crew, and I just didn’t feel like my character would be doing it. That made me even more self-conscious. I didn’t feel like I was able to speak up.

She did not name the movie or the costar she worked with, but what’s clear to her is that there is “a stigma against actresses who get n*ked on screen.” Sweeney complained that male actors who perform such scenes are often lauded and given awards, but when it comes to women, they are viewed in a completely different way.
Another qualm of the actress was when people did not take her seriously because of her role in Euphoria. “With The White Lotus, I felt like people were finally recognizing the hard work I’ve been doing,” she stated.
This has bothered her for quite some time, but she’s proud of her work in the HBO drama show. The thing is, no one talks about her incredible acting there “because I got n*ked.”
Sydney Sweeney Won’t Stop Filming N*de Scenes

Sydney Sweeney wants to emphasize that every character she plays on screen is a different persona. The 26-year-old star told The Hollywood Reporter:
People forget that I’m playing a character, they think, ‘Oh, she gets n*ked onscreen, she’s a s*x symbol.’ And I can’t get past that. I have no problems with those scenes, and I won’t stop doing them, but I wish there was an easier way to have an open conversation about what we’re assuming about actors in the industry.
As she admitted, no detractors can stop her from baring skin on camera so long as it justifies the narrative and the character needs it. Sweeney remains professional in everything she does, and she’s not afraid to explore her options.
This is why she loves working with Euphoria screenwriter Sam Levinson. Sweeney shared that he does not force the actors to do anything they are not comfortable with. If the actress believes her character isn’t supposed to be shirtless as directed in the script, he would gladly remove it.
Sweeney has appeared in several films after starring in Euphoria, and she has gained worldwide fame for her work in Madame Web and Anyone But You.
