It makes sense that since Hollywood stars are known for their spellbinding performances, people will only be motivated by them. But when two talented actresses formed a unique bond in the entertainment industry, it proved that the magic of the big screen frequently goes above and beyond expectations. Julianne Moore, a two-time Emmy Award winner, expressed her utmost admiration for rising star Sydney Sweeney, saying that the latter reminded her of her younger self.
Well, it certainly appears to be good news for both of them since Moore, who most recently starred in the Apple thriller film Sharper, will soon be collaborating with the Euphoria star in Echo Valley. The intense nature of the film’s plot, according to the actress, 62, who first encountered Sweeney on set, helped them quickly become friends.
Julianne Moore Could Not Help But Swoon Over Sydney Sweeney
Sydney Sweeney, who is best known for her breakthrough role in HBO’s hit series Euphoria, has captured the attention of viewers all over the world with her undeniable talent and striking beauty.
Surprisingly, Julianne Moore was the one who first noticed a startling resemblance between Sweeney and her younger self. When she realized how much the 26-year-old actress resembled her, she developed a newfound admiration for her that caught the interest of both fans and the media. Moore told Variety:
“Our characters’ relationship is super intimate, and it’s also very physical and very volatile. And she was somebody who… I wanted to be with Sydney. I wanted to hug her, I wanted to give her a big kiss. She just feels very authentic and real, and is easy to work with and be close to.”
The End of the Affair actress praised Sweeney for having the same enthusiasm, spirit, and commitment that Moore had when she was a rising star:
“I was very furious about my work at that age, and she is too. I think probably her degree of comfort is much greater than mine was at that age. She’s somebody who is not just interested in being a star, but is interested in being an actor.”
Moore went on to say that Sweeney needed to “find a really healthy balance” if she wanted to have a career as long as the Game Change actress. The former continued, expressing regret over not having a child by this point (Variety):
“I always thought I’d have a kid by now. I always wanted to be a young mom. I love acting, I love the business, I love producing, I love all of it. But what’s the point if I’m not getting to share it with a family?”

The Emmy-nominated Sweeney will portray Kate’s daughter Claire, who shows up at her mother’s door in the middle of the night, terrified and covered in blood.
The suspenseful story will explore the lengths a mother will go to protect her child.
