Trainor’s popularity resulted in her appearing in a Super Bowl commercial which the singer-songwriter gushed over during an interview. In 2023, Trainor featured in a commercial for Pringles that aired during the Super Bowl.
In an interview, Trainor discussed how she landed the Super Bowl commercial and how much it meant to her. Trainor also revealed that the commercial made her cry because of her family’s connection to sports. The Made You Look hitmaker also shared that she was pregnant when she received the call, making the experience all the more emotional for her.
Meghan Trainor Cried After Receiving an Offer to Feature in Super Bowl Ad
Singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor made her Super Bowl debut when she appeared in a commercial for Pringles during the 2023 Super Bowl. Trainor who features in the ad titled Best of Us, spoke about being a part of the Super Bowl commercials tradition during an interview with People.
Trainor revealed that when she received the call to star in the commercial, she could not believe the news. Moreover, she started crying after she was approached for the commercial since the Super Bowl is a major sporting event and her brothers are all sports fans. As a result, she immediately called her family to tell them the news.
“I was crying. I teared up and called my family. My brothers are big sports guys, so they were like, Oh my God!”
Trainor made the above statement explaining how elated and honored she felt to be a part of a Super Bowl commercial. Trainor, who won a Grammy Award in 2016, felt like she had won another Grammy Award after receiving the call to feature in a Super Bowl ad.
Meghan Trainor Credited Her Pregnancy With Landing Her the Commerical
During the same interview, Trainor stated that while she wasn’t the best at keeping up with sports, she did watch the Super Bowl. Trainor said that she watched the Super Bowl for the commercials and felt honored to feature in one.
At the same time, the singer also revealed that when she got the call to feature in the Pringles commercial, she was pregnant with her second child. Trainor shared that she felt the baby brought her luck, resulting in the offer to feature in a Super Bowl commercial.
“I think babies bring good luck. I fully believe that because a couple (of) weeks after I found out I was pregnant, we got a call. [Pringles] asked me to be in their big game commercial, and I was like, Me? Are they sure?”
Trainor made the above statement explaining how she felt her then-unborn baby had brought her luck. Trainor married Daryl Sabara in 2017. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in 2021. In January 2023, Trainor announced that she was pregnant with her second child. The couple was blessed with another boy on July 1, 2023, a few months after Trainor’s Super Bowl commercial aired.
