Jenna Ortega sure knows how to get people talking. Her recent collaboration with Martin Freeman for the comedy thriller Miller’s Girl has set the internet ablaze.
Portraying Cairo Sweet, a talented student, who works on a writing assignment with her teacher, Ortega got involved in multiple steamy scenes with Freeman as well as Gideon Adlon in the R-rated Jade Halley Bartlett-directed film.
The internet only recently got over the unpredictable dance moves of Wednesday Addams at Nevermore Academy’s annual Rave’N dance. And now they can’t stop talking about Miller’s Girl. Amid this, Ortega has also made headlines with her Super Bowl commercial.
What Jenna Ortega Said About Her Super Bowl Ad
Jenna Ortega stars in a commercial for Doritos’ new Dinamita rolled chips alongside Dina and Mita. The fictional grandmothers are the action stars of the commercial, as they take on Top Gun: Maverick’s Danny Ramirez after missing out on the last chip bag at a grocery store.
While Dina and Mita get involved in a dangerous chase and show us their surprise karate skills, Ortega remains oblivious to their exploits.
The grandmothers finally manage to get their hands on the bag by knocking Ramirez out with the help of a makeshift zipline. Ortega enters the scene and takes away the chips from her “Abuelas!”
The 21-year-old certainly cherishes the experience of being part of a Super Bowl ad. Speaking to Access Hollywood, she said:
“The Super Bowl commercials – it’s the Oscars for commercials, you know. So to be on such a big platform is an immense honor. Making it such a celebration of Latin culture simultaneously has been really, really wonderful.”
The Doritos ad was released on Monday but it will air during the big game between Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers on February 11.
Jenna Ortega Shares Her Thoughts on This Year’s Super Bowl Halftime Performer
R&B music icon Usher will be headlining the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The 21-year-old seems to be a huge fan of Usher, revealing his song Confessions Part II was a big deal in her household when she was around eight years old.
“I didn’t even know I knew the words. But I do. And that’s insane,” she revealed before adding she’s very excited about his performance.
The DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love singer will be joined by the likes of Reba McEntire, Post Malone, Andra Day, and Tiesto at the event.
Interestingly, Usher won’t be paid for his 13-minute performance. However, he’s set to release his new album in the coming days. As such, the potential marketing value of the gig is immense for him.
