Hugh Jackman is making his highly anticipated return next year as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. Fans got a sneak peek of what Jackman was gonna look like in the film when set images surfaced on the internet. Their excitement reached its peak when they saw Jackman’s Wolverine donning the classic yellow suit from the comics.
Ms. Marvel star Iman Velllani like many fans, expressed her excitement about Jackman’s return to the role. Although she is overwhelmed by the classic look of the character, she points out one concern she has about the suit.
Iman Vellani Has One Qualm About Hugh Jackman’s Yellow Wolverine Suit
As per set photos, Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine will be donning the classic yellow suit from the comics in Deadpool 3, which has got fans more excited in addition to his return to the role. Another equally excited actress is Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani who is a confessed Marvel superfan.
While she can’t wait to see the classic suit on Jackman on-screen, she has one concern with the suit. In the set photos, it is seen that the suit covers the arms and hands, which is not the case with the comics where it was a half-sleeved one. She told Cinemblend that she wished his arms were exposed like in the comics. She said,
“I do wish it was the half-sleeve suit, not gonna lie, I want to see his arms,” Vellani said, stressing how she’s still stoked about the yellow suit. “When I saw those leaked images, I was going crazy. Like, especially where we’ve come from Bryan Singer’s X-Men and like their entire black leather suits.
And that like one joke that Cyclops made of like, ‘Oh, would you prefer yellow spandex?’ This is the moment all the fans have been waiting for. It’s so cool.”
Wolverine is seen going head-to-head with Deadpool in the set photos. Maybe during the fight, the suit around his arms gets torn off and the true comic-accurate look of Wolverine would be revealed in that way. It remains to be seen how the suit is used in the film concerning the character.
Shawn Levy Promises An Audacious and Gritty Deadpool 3
The production of Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman had been halted after almost half of the overall shoot of the film was complete (due to the Hollywood strikes). In an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, director Shawn Levy weighed in on making the best Deadpool film with the third installment.
Levy also talked about the support he got from the studio and their efforts to deliver an audacious and gnarly adventure with the duo. He said,
“The biggest thrill for Hugh, Ryan, and I is that we’re making very much the movie we hoped to make. One hears rumors all the time – good, bad, everywhere in between – about what certain studios are like to work at.
I’ll just say that this Deadpool movie co-starring Wolverine is very much aligned with the DNA of the Deadpool franchise. And there’s been nothing but support in making the movie audacious, gritty, hilarious, and gnarly.”
Filming has since resumed on the film as the actors strike got over recently. The film will also be the only theatrical MCU release next year. The highly anticipated threequel will be released in theatres on July 26, 2024.
