Amy Schumer revealed her censored joke from the Oscars

Ace comedian and actress Amy Schumer was one of the presenters at the 94th Annual Academy Awards in 2022. At the event, the actress was not allowed to make one particular joke, which could have been considered sensitive. Trainwreck actress shared in an interview, about the reason for cutting the joke and revealed what it was.

Comedienne Amy Schumer opened up during her public appearance in Las Vegas. She shared that the joke was related to an incident that occurred a year before when actor Alec Baldwin accidentally shot a crew member while shooting for his film Rust.

She talked about the incident in reference to Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s film, Don’t Look Up. Schumer said,

“Don’t Look Up is the name of a movie? More like don’t look down the barrel of Alec Baldwin’s shotgun. I wasn’t allowed to say any of that, but you can just come up and (slap) someone.”

The joke was considered insensitive in nature and hence was removed.

Amy Schumer once again took a jab at Alec Baldwin by commenting on his wife

Amy Schumer went viral on social media for her controversial comments on Netflix show Amy Schumer: Emergency Contact. In the show, she made jokes about Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin.

“Hilaria from Spain is actually Hillary from Boston. Her parents are not from Spain, nobody in her life is from Spain.”

The comedian also talked about their kids,

“They’ve called them all very Spanish names like Jamon, Croqueta, or Flamenco.”

“What I say makes sense. I think what happened is that she was lucky enough to go to Spain, some of you have been and it’s great, don’t you love it?”

“This woman, ever since she met her husband, has been pretending she’s from Spain and her husband shot somebody… what I mean is, neither of them give a fuck about anything.”

For the uninitiated, on October 21, 2021, during the shoot of Eric Baldwin’s film, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was accidentally shot and injured on the sets. Baldwin has accidentally fired a live round from a prop gun, while filming a scene for Rust. Hutchins later succumbed to her injuries, which made the incident a massive top of discussion regarding safety procedures and guidelines on film sets.
