Despite Stallone saying Rambo: Last Blood (2019) was the character’s final outing, rumors of a potential Rambo 6 are keeping hope alive for fans.
This isn’t the first time Stallone has brought back a beloved character. He’s done it before with Rocky Balboa and Barney Ross from The Expendables.

A fan-made trailer for Rambo 6: New Blood has taken the internet by storm, offering a glimpse into a potential future for the legendary John Rambo.
The YouTube channel KH Studio, which makes fan-made trailers, recently released a 79-second teaser for a possible Rambo 6 called New Blood. The teaser used footage from Sylvester Stallone‘s old movies like The Expendables and Rambo franchises.
The trailer pits the war-torn veteran, once again played by Stallone, facing off against Marvel’s Jon Bernthal. The teaser includes shots of Bernthal, seemingly deep-faked to portray the villain, and claims New Blood will release in 2024.

Back then, Deadline reported that production company Nu Image teamed up with Entertainment One to develop a show based on the franchise.
While there haven’t been any concrete updates on this front recently, the concept trailer’s popularity might reignite interest in a serialized format for Rambo’s future adventures.
Though Stallone might not be interested in reprising the role again, he hinted to The Hollywood Reporter that the series could be on its way soon. The 77-year-old also mentioned a new actor taking on the role of Rambo and dropping hints about the storyline. The actor said:
“I think it’s going to happen. I wanted to do it like a Ken Burns documentary on Vietnam, where you drop young Rambo in there and he’s this outgoing guy, football captain, and then you see why he becomes Rambo. But what they want to do is a modern-day story where I pass the torch. That’s getting close.”
While there hasn’t been any update on the Rambo series since then, it could arrive in the next few years. Moreover, whether or not Rambo 6 actually happens remains to be seen.
