The Terminids and the Automatons forces have been mercilessly annihilating the Helldivers 2 community on the battlefield and now it seems like players are giving Arrowhead Game Studios some more ideas. A Helldivers 2 player suggested that Arrowhead can add a Spider-Trapdoor-style enemy to the Terminid faction. With a video provided, it seems like the player wants the studios to add an enemy that is hiding under debris on the battlefield. As soon as a player enters its proximity, it opens up and pulls them inside.
Fans have been suggesting various additions including fan-made missions as well as changes to an already overpowered weapon. Arrowhead’s head, Johan Pilestedt, is often seen on X interacting with fans to take feedback.
Fan suggests a new terrifying Terminid unit for Helldivers 2
A Reddit user named ThewizardBlundermore recently proposed a new Terminid unit in the r/Helldivers subreddit that would be a creepy addition to the game. As per this player, a Terminid unit that hides in plain sight will completely change the game. The Terminid enemies crawl out of the ground as a bile spitter variant hiding in the ground, and waiting for a player would certainly be scary and challenging.
The community was certainly thrilled to hear about this idea and some players already started giving suggestions on how to defeat this enemy. One said that players can run into it with an activated precision strike in their hand or a live grenade, ultimately killing it.
Fans have been asking Arrowhead for various additions and changes
The r/Helldivers subreddit has been booming lately with many clips, concept art as well as new ideas that would improve the game. A player recently shared a diagram on the subreddit suggesting that Arrowhead should improve certain aspects of the Railgun to make it more effective against enemies. The Railgun is already very powerful but these changes would make it unstoppable.
Another mock-up concept of “assault” missions recently went viral on social media where a player proposed an idea of adding action-packed assault missions where they take down Terminid and Automatons by destroying their core. Arrowhead’s boss, Johan Pilestedt, even acknowledged this idea, revealing that Arrowhead intended to add these missions in the game initially.
Helldivers 2 has successfully managed to become one of the most popular games in the world in less than 3 months. The game is available on PlayStation 5 and Windows.
