The Hollywood writers’ strike has been going on for months, and it is still not showing any signs of ending. The Marvel star Tatiana Maslany has become the new actress to share her support and has talked about the strike during a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter. Along with speaking her mind on the strike, she has also slammed Disney CEO Bob Iger, as she claimed that the business executive is “completely out of touch.”
The actress released her statement after Iger shared his thoughts about the ongoing strike. He stated that the writers and actors are not being realistic regarding their wage demands while calling the strike very disturbing.
Tatiana Maslany Calls Out Disney CEO Bob Iger
She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany has joined the writers, who have been on strike for months demanding for fair pay. She got brutally honest while speaking up for writers, saying that she also has a friend who has been doing the job for years and has also suffered the consequences of the low wages.
“Wages have gone down, people’s quotes no longer stand for anything. It’s just like we’ve been completely cast aside,” she said. The 37-year-old actress also shared that she supports writers who have spoken out about it, along with the “visual effects workers, who are trying to unionize.”
Reacting to Bob Iger’s statements about the strike, Maslany accused the CEO of being out of touch with the people who make the shows happen and bring in the audience and money for the studio. “He’s completely out of touch with the workers who make his shows happen,” she said.
The Orphan Black star also shared that she is aware of these things because she has starred in a Disney show. She said that it is “outrageous” to see the amount of money these shows make, and the people working hardest on these shows, that is “crew, cast, writers,” get the lowest share.

They have said that the actress is right in saying that the CEO is “completely out of touch” and even suggested that he should step down from his position. While some assumed that the studio could either fire the Perry Mason actress or cancel the renewal of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law for another season at Disney+.
