While Ben Affleck’s ad featured prominent artists and celebrities from Boston, it reportedly upset one of the area’s most celebrated actors Mark Wahlberg. The actor was not included in the video, despite being from Boston and being a musician himself. The ad also featured Affleck and Wahlberg’s The Departed co-star Matt Damon in jumpsuits that were inspired by the ones Wahlberg used to wear.

Mark Wahlberg addressed his exclusion from the commercial on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, where he gave a few passive-aggressive statements to the makers. He said,

“I was wondering the same thing, you know. I have no idea…I’m from the wrong side of the tracks, I think…I’m trying to work my way into their good graces. Hopefully they’ll give me the call one of these days. I’m waiting patiently.”

The Daddy’s Home star then went on to say that he found the commercial extremely funny and that he wanted to be a part of Ben Affleck’s ongoing campaign with the donut chain. He said that he was waiting for a call back from the makers. Mark Wahlberg himself starred in a Super Bowl commercial for the Hallow prayer app.
