This also means that one of DC’s most beloved superheroes Wonder Woman played by the arresting Gal Gadot, will not find prominence in the future.

The star in an interview, was candid about her role with the franchise and her plans for the future.

Gal Gadot Is Looking Past The DCEU With Positivity

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot gave fans a surprising treat by making a small cameo appearance in the recently released The Flash. While the Israeli actor is one of the most popular and beloved stars of the franchise owing to her performances as Wonder Woman, her days with the DCEU are reportedly coming to an end with the official confirmation by Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins in December 2022 that there will be no Wonder Woman 3. Meanwhile, Gadot has taken a pragmatic and positive approach to the news. In an interview for her upcoming film Heart of Stone, the Red Notice actor spoke about what the future holds for her and said,

“I’m not only going to do my own projects, I’m going to work as an actress-for-hire still. But the fact that I can go ahead and tell the stories that I’m passionate about – from ideas that I conceived, or from ideas that I find fascinating from people that want to partner with us – it’s an incredible thing.”

Gadot also went on to add that her imminent departure from the DCEU made her feel empowered and ready to take on new and different projects. The star felt grateful that she was in a position to be offered a variety of roles that will showcase her talent and love for cinema.

Gal Gadot Will Court Action In Heart Of Stone

Gal Gadot is no stranger to swashbuckling action with her lasso-wielding turn as Wonder Woman in the DCEU. The star is now set to enthrall audiences with her next film which will be a full-blown action thriller. Gadot will play a spy in Netflix’s Heart of Stone in which she will share screen space with Jamie Dornan and Alia Bhatt. Speaking of her role and the importance of moving past male-dominated action performances, Gadot said,

“I grew up watching Bond, and Mission, and Bourne. I wanted to create a really strong, female-driven action movie that is for everybody, not a male story that’s been done many times already.”
