Netflix recently hosted its annual TUDUM event. The event saw The Witcher stars, Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, and Joey Batey promoting the third season of the show aka Cavill’s final season. While they had interesting updates about the season, the limelight was stolen by Batey asking Cavill to say a few words about his departure.

Batey’s “I suppose we should talk to Henry” was met with an almost unending cheer and applause from the audience. The actor then asked his co-star to talk about what it was like filming his last season for The Witcher. As the screams faded, Cavill started out by showing his gratitude to the fans.

“Thank you very much everyone. Thank you. I really feel the love and I love you guys too. It’s so wonderful to be here.”

Then, Cavill turned his attention to his fellow co-stars standing beside him as he went on about how it was a pleasure to have worked with them and how he will miss them going forward.

“I am gonna talk about what it was like filming my final season and I actually just wanna talk about my co-stars here because, once again, it was such a pleasure and an honor to be working with you guys. You guys bring so much nuance and detail to these characters which are often at the risk of being oversimplified, and what you guys have done with the characters has involved work, care, and effort. And, believe me, working with you guys was the biggest pleasure. So, uh, I just wanted to say I’m going to miss you. I’m going to miss you very much.”

Batey then thanked Cavill for his “incredible contribution” to The Witcher throughout the seasons. Needless to say, it was quite an emotional night for the fans, Cavill, and Cavill’s co-stars.

Anyone who has seen this clip of Cavill praising his co-stars can vouch for the fact that the actor left his fans absolutely emotional with his kind words. Check out what Twitter has to say about Cavill’s speech at the TUDUM event:

It sure is not going to be easy for the fandom to forget about his performance in The Witcher. On top of all that, fans are yet to accept Liam Hemsworth in the role. After all, the Man of Steel actor has set the bar in the sky. Hemsworth has to give the role all he’s got as it won’t be easy impressing the fans.

You can see Cavill play Geralt of Rivia for the last time when The Witcher season 3 releases on Netflix on June 29.
