Kieran Culkin Found It Difficult to Be a Dad When Going to Award Shows

Kieran Culkin recently gave an interview with The Hollywood Reporter where he was promoting his upcoming film, A Real Pain. Here, he spoke about what it has been like for him to be going from one event to another with little to no breaks. The actor mentioned that this entire process has been extremely stressful for him, not because of the impact that it is having on him but the one that it is having on his children.

“The last couple of weeks, I hadn’t really been much of a parent, which makes me feel like sh*t.”

Culkin stated that having this busy schedule has led to him being much more neglectful when it comes to his two kids. This is very uncharacteristic for him. Not being there for them as much as he would like has been taking a very big toll on the actor. He also added that this makes him feel like he hasn’t been the parent that he should be.

Kieran Culkin is Going to Turn the World Off

Kieran Culkin then went on to talk about how he is going to deal with the conflict with his kids moving forward. He stated that his wife had already flown back to them and he would follow her very soon. The Succession star also added that he was looking forward to being with his children after so long and misses them so much that he will go off the grid for some time after reuniting with them.

“So I’m looking forward to, I’m gonna turn the world off for about a week and just be a dad.” He went on, “Nothing at all. I’m all diapars and bath time and stuff for like a week.”

He mentioned that he would not communicate with the rest of the world for a week and focus on his babies and being a father to them. He also added that he will not be working at all during this, not even giving time to check his emails.
