Tyrese Gibson, known to the world as a comedian, let his humorous side get out pretty wild when he humiliated Dwayne Johnson for allegedly ruining the Fast & Furious franchise. Before departing from the franchise, Fast & Furious 9 was delayed and Gibson heavily insinuated that The Rock was the reason.

When Tyrese Gibson Fired Shots At Dwayne Johnson

Back in 2020, it was announced that Fast & Furious 9 would be delayed and pushed back by a year. Although the reason was never made clear, Tyrese Gibson wanted to blame The Rock for these delays. Seemingly taunting the wrestler-turned-actor with his production company Seven Bucks for the fault, Gibson had his way of words with Dwayne Johnson.

With the recent release of Fast X, the director Louis Leterrier had much to say about the infamous feud between Vin Diesel and The Rock. Although we will not give you any spoilers, the director did reveal that a peace treaty has been arranged between Diesel and Johnson.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Louis Leterrier stated that he had an idea on how to broker a peace treaty.

“The peace treaty … I kind of did. We all did. Ultimately, the movie did. I didn’t know Dwayne, personally, but we reached out to Dwayne and Dwayne’s team. We sort of looked at each other from across the room and winked a few months back, saying, ‘We should work together.'”

He further continued that even though the franchise is wonderful in itself, the iconic characters are essentially what makes it a Fast family.

“This franchise was built by actors and characters. The set pieces are wonderful. They keep you entertained and keep you shoving popcorn in your mouth, but the characters make this franchise what it is.”

Fast X, starring Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa along with many iconic characters, is currently screening in theaters across the world for audiences to see.
