Streamers on platforms such as Twitch sometimes do crazy or at least unsafe and potentially dangerous things to garner views for their channel. This isn’t a new concept, as certain people often do anything for attention, and that doesn’t always have the best results, forcing them to deal with the consequences.

Earlier in the year, for instance, a streamer on Twitch got banned for running over a dog while driving and recording the event. Now, the latest streamer to get banned on Twitch is Super Smash Bros. player Bobby Big Ballz, for his actions while on a live stream.

What did Twitch streamer Bobby Big Ballz get banned for?

Twitch suspended Bobby Big Ballz’s account and banned him indefinitely for drinking and driving as he was on a live stream. The streamer was live on September 5th and he went live as he went to a nearby convenience store to buy himself some wine, which he started drinking when on his way back home in the car.

Naturally, this alarmed many viewers watching at the time, as well as those who saw a clip shared online shortly afterward, leading them to be concerned for his safety. Others, though, were less than pleased that he would do something like this at all, putting himself and potentially other drivers at risk. Twitch seemed to share their sentiments, as they took action by banning his channel a few hours later. According to Twitch’s Community Guidelines:

“Twitch does not allow content that glorifies, promotes, or encourages self-harm. We also prohibit activity that may endanger your life, lead to your physical harm, or encourage others to engage in physically harmful behavior.”

Streamer Bobby Big Ballz was clearly in violation of the above, which is why he got banned from the platform.

What did Twitch streamer Bobby Big Ballz say in response?

In response to his ban, Bobby Bog Ballz accepted responsibility for what happened while also saying his actions might not necessarily be classified as drunk driving. On X (formerly Twitter), he said:

“Surely one singular sip of my 12% wine on my 3 minute drive home from 711 doesn’t classify as drunk driving, as a streamer i’m wrong & will take responsibility for my actions & if the community wants to ban me i will humbly oblige. i am not a role model please don’t accept my internet personality as such. i stream to make people smile through entertainment i am not meant to be a beacon of morals & values i am just me. drinking is a way i cope with life you’re welcome to judge me this is just my truth not an excuse. Thank you any1 who still supports me”.

Later on, the streamer expressed remorse for his actions and spoke on how they affected him, again on X:

“Feel nothing like the king of pop anymore… twitch ban is indefinite which means u won’t see me at any tourneys online or offline RIP bbb 1998-2023 c u in another lifetime boys”.

This was then followed up by another post which said:

“I know some ppl find joy in my moronic demise but shit is actually a nightmare for me to lose 8 years of hard work at 25 over one sip just not using my brain, having nothing to do with smash. ik i streamed it & so clearly is it my absolute fault. just depressing man.”

While an unfortunate situation, Bobby Big Ballz has only himself to blame for his current circumstances.
