Ryan Garcia’s feud with actor Michael B. Jordan has taken a new turn

Michael B. Jordan is a well-known name in the acting industry. He started off his career as a television actor in The Wire before he successfully made his transition to films. While he is best known for his acting chops, Jordan even made his directorial debut with Creed III in 2023, with possibly a fourth film in the pipeline.

The actor put his best foot forward to play a boxer convincingly in the franchise. He greatly impressed professionals, but unfortunately, not everyone is a fan—neither of the films nor of the actor playing the protagonist. Ryan Garcia just so happens to be one of them.

Garcia recently appeared for an interview with GQ Sports, along with Devin Haney. The two boxers were initially supposed to have a one-on-one conversation, but given their rivalry in the days leading up to their match on April 20th, neither acquiesced to sit together. They had to be interviewed separately, and they dropped some unique insights into their psyche.

One of the questions that the athletes were asked was about their favorite boxing films. Harney replied that it was the Creed films, while Garcia stated that he was not a fan of the series.

“I am personally not a fan of the Creeds, I know. Sorry, Michael. Me and Michael used to be cool, I don’t know what happened. He just stopped. He just stopped talking to me. Bro, hit me back. I haven’t texted him, though, but it’s just, I just feel like, I don’t know,” he said.

Garcia and Harney will face off in the upcoming weekend, with the latter trying to defend his WBC Super Lightweight title. While the hype around the matchup has been intense, Garcia has not stopped taking potshots at Jordan.

`The Fantastic Four star returned to the screens as Adonis Creed last year. The actor was fantastic both in front of the camera and behind it as well.

Jordan’s role has seen him become quite popular among boxing fans. However, his history with Garcia has become a bit of a talking point too. Their shared history goes back a fair bit, with Jordan choosing Gervonta Davis to defeat Garcia last year.

Since then, Garcia has lashed out at him every chance he gets. The boxer was not above a little mud-slinging directed towards the Black Panther actor. “This dude’s a b*tch, bro,” he said.

Jordan has not responded to Garcia’s comments yet, and it remains to be seen if he indeed does. The boxer will be seen in the ring against Devin Haney on April 20th.
