Thus, to mark the special milestone, the actor sat down with Variety to reflect back on the time he spent in the industry over the years. From his role in Doctor Strange to the magical world of the Potterverse in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, to back to his roots with a phenomenal performance in the critically acclaimed Danish drama Another Round, the actor never fails to enthrall the audience with his performance.
His contribution to one of the Bond films, and his collaboration with Ford in the Indy series also played an important role in imprinting the Danish actor’s name in the American industry. Thus, even after having such an elaborate career, he is still waiting for Martin Scorsese to offer a role to him and stated that’s what makes him excited for the future the most. He said,
“If Scorsese calls me one day,—I’m ready.”

On a separate note, Mads Mikkelsen has also joined forces with Nikolaj Arcel on the period drama with the then-working title King’s Land, now called The Bastard which takes place in 18th-century Denmark. The film promises to be an enthralling experience.
During the previous year’s Cannes Film Festival, The film was released with the initial title King’s Land. The film garnered significant attention, leading to Magnolia Pictures’ pre-purchasing the U.S. distribution. With a planned local release scheduled for the fall of 2023, The Bastard is poised to captivate audiences with its intriguing story.
