And he seems “satisfied” and fairly confident in Gilroy’s writing ability to bring the show to a close.

Amidst the prolonged wait for the upcoming Star Wars series, the Gothenburg-born actor gave an update on Andor season 2.
In addition to expressing admiration for Tony Gilroy’s writing, Skarsgård shared his thoughts on Luthen’s ongoing plot for the upcoming season.
“I’m satisfied with where it goes, yeah. It’s such good writing and it’s Tony Gilroy, I really like to say his lines.”
Since the beginning, the Good Will Hunting actor has praised Gilroy’s writing rather consistently. The actor, who portrayed the supporting role of Luthen Rael, has long been a fervent supporter of the show and the direction the showrunner has taken it in.
Season 2 details are closely guarded, but considering how season 1 concluded, we anticipate seeing a lot more of Luthen in the upcoming season. With this fascinating update, we can rest assured that the second season will continue to bring top-notch performances.
When Will Andor Season 2 Actually Be Released?
Although season 2 of Andor has been delayed, fans may still be able to anticipate it as early as 2025, as Tony Gilroy had previously hinted that it would land around 2024 (per Gizmodo).
With Season 3 of The Mandalorian, Star Wars has experienced releasing Disney+ content in March; thus, it is possible that Andor will make its platform debut in March 2025. Disney and Lucasfilm might want to wait to release Andor season 2 because 2024 will be a very busy year for the Star Wars brand. This way, fans will not feel like they are seeing too much of the far-off galaxy.
If that is the case, season 2 might even be released in late May or early June 2025, following Obi-Wan Kenobi’s release schedule. Fans can probably expect to see season 2 of Andor in 2025, regardless of the situation.
