Madame Web’s Strange Spider-Man Outfit Shocks Marvel Fans
Marvel enthusiasts were shocked by an unconventional Spider-Man costume in Madame Web. Distinctly divergent from typical Spidey garb, this costume confused and concerned fans.
Like, where did they even get the idea for its peculiar design and questions regarding its inspiration? S. J. Clarkson’s film featured impressive visual effects by beloFX, tasked with creating spiders, webs, and crash scenes.
Oli Atherton of beloFX divulged details about executing these intricate shots. According to Beforesandafters, Atherton revealed,
“During the shoot, they wore a costume that was essentially body paint, more like a body suit, complemented by face makeup. Over that, they had this mesh made of fine twisted vines. They built their dresswear to blend into the rainforest.”
Further, Atherton added,
“We had quite a few shots where we needed to put makeup back on them, so we scanned a few actors, lookdev’d the look and rigged it all, especially for Ezekiel in the cave.”
But it seemed like fans are not feeling this costume vibe, and they’re letting everyone know on social media. One fan (Tired) even commented, “Im so glad I did NOT watch this sh*t.” While others also chimed in.

Madame Web Stands As The Most Disappointing Spider-Man Film To Date
The Spider-Man movie Madame Web is very disappointing. It misses the mark on telling a good story, and most importantly, it does not capture what makes Spider-Man great. Even if you don’t love Marvel, there is little to praise.
Sony’s Madame Web has skilled actors. It uses ideas from Spider-Man comics. But it fails alone without Spider-Man there with the end teases a sequel. However, it’s hard to feel excited about that.
Sure, Marvel has had its fair share of duds like Howard the Duck and Fantastic Four, and even some of the Spider-Man movies weren’t exactly hits.
But Madame Web is in a league of its own, especially with its lackluster box office performance and terrible reviews with 13% ratings on Rotton Tomatoes.
Well if we talk about the characters in Madame Web they are pretty one-dimensional. Cassie Webb, played by Dakota Johnson, doesn’t really have much of a personality besides being kind of aloof and awkward. And the other characters like Julia, Anya, and Mattie?
They’re just walking stereotypes with no real depth.
In a franchise where you expect exciting adventures and characters you can root for, Madame Web just falls short. Fans are hoping for something better in the next Spider-Man movie.
