Did Dakota Johnson Predict The Downfall Of Madame Web?

Dakota Johnson will probably be regretting her decision to sign up for Madame Web judging by the adverse reactions the movie has been getting. But did the actor actually predict this outcome through her own trepidation?

A still from Madame Web

From what the star insinuated during the promotions of the film, the visual and technical aspects of the Marvel project may have intimidated her a lot more than she expected. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly regarding the doubts she had about having done justice to the part, she stated,

“I’ve never really done a movie where you are on a blue screen, and there’s fake explosions going off, and someone’s going, ‘Explosion!’ and you act like there’s an explosion. That to me was absolutely psychotic. I was like, ‘I don’t know if this is going to be good at all! I hope that I did an OK job!’”

The Lost Daughter actor went on to add that she tried to compensate for her fears by working extremely hard with the blue screen to ensure that she was able to turn in a realistic performance. Unfortunately, her efforts have proved to be in vain.
