The conclusion of One Piece has been a topic of discussion for quite some time now, with the most important question being who will the Straw Hat Pirates face as their final enemy. The two most obvious responses to the question are Marshall D. Teach, the captain of Blackbeard Pirates, and Imu, the highest authority who is considered above the Five Elders.

Many fans speculated that Blackbeard also being part of the race to attain the treasure of One Piece, he might not be the final villain and Luffy will ultimately face Imu sama in the end. But after the revelations in the recent chapter, this theory might change. One Piece chapter 1107 revealed the true goal of Blackbeard.

Since the goal of Blackbeard has been revealed, it can be said that he might be the final adversary in the story of One Piece because his ambition makes him much more terrifying than Imu. Also, Blackbeard’s actions in the recent chapters have pointed out that he is finally out of the shadows and is getting ready for the conclusion.

Blackbeard’s True Goal Revealed in One Piece

One Piece chapter 1107 makes clear that Blackbeard’s ultimate objective is the world. According to the chapter, Van Augur and Catarina Devon were dispatched to Egghead to complete a unique task. Later on, the panel shows Catarina touching one of Saturn’s limbs and claiming that the task is completed.

It seems that Catarina wanted to assume Saturn’s appearance which is why she touched Saturn. This will give the Blackbeard Pirates a whole new upgrade in the story. As Saturn emerges from the debris, he notices Catarina and Van Augur and inquires as to why Impel Down escapees, including herself, adhere to Blackbeard and what their actual objectives are. Van Augur responds to Saturn’s query with the simple phrase “The World.”

This phrase from Van Augur has shaken the entire One Piece community as it not only reveals the true goal of the Blackbeard Pirates but also his connection to one of the most heinous villains of the past Rocks D. Xebec whose ultimate goal just like Blackbeard was also to rule over the whole world.

Blackbeard’s Goal Makes Him The Final Villain of One Piece

Blackbeard’s ambition is directly comparable to Rocks D. Xebec’s, who had a very similar dream. The fact that Blackbeard’s objective is identical to Rocks’ aspiration to become the “king of the world” indicates that Blackbeard is carrying on Xebec’s legacy. Beyond that, Blackbeard established his stronghold on the island of Fullalead, the birthplace of the Rocks Pirates, and christened his ship the “Saber of Xebec.”

These incidents also demonstrate the relationship that exists between Blackbeard and Rocks. The most recent chapter of One Piece also alluded to Blackbeard’s unique bloodline, which might be read as a point of reference to his immediate connection with Rocks D. Xebec.

Also, Blackbeard’s goal being similar to Rocks makes him the final adversary of Luffy who is following Gol D. Roger’s footsteps of becoming the King of the Pirates. Therefore it can be said that instead of Imu, Blackbeard will be the final villain. He will face the Straw Hat Pirates at the conclusion of One Piece.
