To put it into context, the former President was brutal in his criticism of Kimmel as the host of this year’s Academy Awards, and panned the event and his performance on social media. The presenter for his part, publicly read out Trump’s scathing comments on live television during the awards while adding his sly two cents at the end (via Variety).

“Thank you for watching, I’m surprised you’re still — isn’t it past your jail time.?

The billionaire-turned-politician then hit back with a stinging attack targeting Kimmel’s incompetence after he continued to roast him during his ABC show in reference to Trump’s hush money trial controversy (via Rolling Stone). The politician is in the line of fire for alleged false accounting of expenses paid to help cover up potentially bad press during his 2016 election campaign.

But in launching this fresh verbal assault against Kimmel, the former White House resident ended up making a major factual error by confusing veteran Al Pacino with the Oscar host. Pacino raised eyebrows when he announced the Best Picture Award without listing the nominees which was customary. Trump in referring to this incident on Truth Social, wrongly used Kimmel’s name in his brutal roast.

Kimmel who revels in situations like this, took to social media following Trump’s comment to give his trademark priceless reply that is majorly trending online. In a single statement, he encapsulated this significant faux pas by the former President.

While this reply is going viral on social media, it now remains to be seen if the Kimmel-Trump feud continues to dominate the internet in the days to come.
