But after a recent announcement made by Andrew List, a decorated US Army veteran and founder of A-List productions, fans are starting to believe that they have already got the legacy of Superman back in the form of his upcoming crowdfunded fan film titled Superman: Solar. The film will star another decorated military veteran Glenn Kiil who List met during his days of service in the US Army. In the description of his Indiegogo crowdfunding page, List mentions what his motives and inspiration for making this film. He said:

“Superman has always been important in my life and he’s always been my favorite character in any media. What has always drawn me to the character goes beyond the powers and abilities. It’s his humanity, he chooses to live as one of us to understand our problems…and cares all the same, While he does large-scale things like saving earth from alien invasions, he’s also that same guy who stops to help you change your bike tire on the side of the road, That’s what I’ve always loved about Superman.’’

With his idea of taking the caped crusader back to his roots grounded in the reality of his duties that he had taken upon himself, List tries to capture the image of the superhero into a national hero.
