Madfinger Games’ Gray Zone Warfare shook the gaming community when it was first revealed in 2023. Gray Zone Warfare may sound like every other first-person shooter out there, but it focuses entirely on realism.

In this immersive tactical FPS, players can join a Private Military Company and a massive open-world setting alone or in a squad. Throughout this journey, players have to battle other players or AI-controlled enemies. The game shows no mercy as getting killed is as easy as it is in real life, so players must plan out their attacks before rushing in. As of now, Madfinger Games is focused on a smooth PC release, but they have a plan to release the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Gray Zone Warfare is tougher than you think

Forbes‘ Mike Stubbs recently shared his experience of playing the early version of Madfinger Games’ Gray Zone Warfare. Judging by his words, Madfinger Games has maintained the element that they used to market the game: Realism. The game’s stunning visuals, combined with its realistic elements, makes the game entertaining but challenging at the same time.

Every bullet from the AI is a massive threat to the players and in order to complete the objectives, players must come up with various tactics to avoid dying. The feedback from the early testing will obviously fix the problems and this is only the PC testing as console players are also expected to experience this game soon.

Gray Zone Warfare will also be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S

As per Game Watcher, creative director Marek Rabas has revealed that Madfinger Games has plans to release the game on consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. As of now, their focus is on making the PC version “stable and polished” but Rabas has confirmed that they will do “early access on consoles because we love consoles, I play them a lot.” Unfortunately, it is unclear as of now when this will happen. It seems like the game’s development will continue as the game received a strong reaction from some fans.

The game was expected to be released this year but many famous publications speculate that the production will continue through 2024, so the game is expected to be released for everyone at some point in 2025. Without a doubt, this game will serve as a tough competition for other popular FPS games in the world right now, but there’s still room for improvement.
